Rombas

Most people in western society have much more clothes then they are wearing and even buy new clothes regularly instead of using the ones they already have. 'Rombas' is a wardrobe which attempts to make users aware of the clothes they have so they don't buy unnecessarly new ones. The modular shelving system is made for storing clothes and can be assembled without the need of tools. Due to the rhomb shape, the stack of clothes is already in a ‘fallen position’ so it is easier to remove the clothes from the bottom. The small side holes make the shelf resemble a sieve and are a reminder to sort out your clothes more often and to pass them on to those in need. The open wardrobe gives a good overview of the exsisting clothes and motivates the user to keep the wardrobe tidy.
