Tim Scriba
As a Lithuanian-German designer, I focus on designing objects and products that create and stimulate a relationship with the people who use them. For me, one of the most interesting approaches to reducing waste, overproduction and excessive shopping in our highly capitalistic western society is to create a deep connection between the buyer (human) and the product (object).
I like to work hands-on with materials, especially with textile production techniques such as knitting, weaving or sewing. Although the world of textiles is a big challenge in terms of the immense pollution that the fast fashion industry causes every day, I am looking for ways to reduce waste and change the habit of buying more and using less.
In addition to my passion for textiles, I love working with digital tools to add a deeper layer to my results and have the opportunity to create a personal and connecting experience for the user. I see today's technological possibilities as a great opportunity to create individual, customizable objects and to design communication in an engaging and accessible way.
I am always open to new collaborations and requests and love to learn and experience new things every day! Let's have a chat::
